Gregory is a seasoned CEO and is one of the founder partners of Business Angels Finance International.
He has extensive experience in both establishing and successfully running SME’s and profitable development ventures in a number of countries including Africa, Australia and the United Kingdom He has significant contacts in those markets as well as in the Russian Federation and Eastern Europe.
His professional expertise ranges across a number of sectors including investment fund management, financial services, valuation, investment securities, trade finance, franchising, manufacturing and real estate project development.
Gregory is incisive, dynamic and results driven and often able to structure a deal from an alternative and innovative perspective.
He is married with 3 children and is a keen sportsman
Steve has extensive experience in the SME sector starting businesses, investing and raising finance. He was appointed as Regional Director with Beer &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; Partners in 2007 where he led regional teams working with Family Offices, Institutional Investors and High Net Worth Individuals.
He has a good understanding of business; he trained initially as a Mechanical Engineer and worked with large corporate organisations (ie Davy Corporation, Trafalgar House and Willis Corroon) successfully developing subsidiary businesses in a CEO capacity. In the mid-90s he led and invested in a BIMBO transaction acquiring a subsidiary of Racal plc raising Venture Capital through 3i and LDC. He is a business consultant in risk management and an active business coach, he has invested in several businesses and is a non-executive Chairman of a marketing business.
James is an experienced businessman and also a practising pharmacist. Having run his own pharmacy business for 20 years he now acts as a consultant to various UK PLC’s specialising in governance and systems. He has also run an asset based finance company lending to start up businesses. As a director of an offshore fund, he has extensive knowledge of debt finance and instruments and their use in funding solutions. As well as being an associate of BAFI, James is employed as a consultant to them, in the administration of the loan book and compliance matters.
Susan has a marketing career spanning 30 years. She started out working with large international services, telecoms and IT businesses before setting up her own marketing consultancy in 1999 to support small and medium businesses.
Since 2005, Susan has worked work with over 650 businesses across the Midlands and Oxfordshire helping them to improve their business performance through better marketing and practical business growth advice. Susan enjoys coaching and mentoring business owners to gain the skills, tools and confidence to achieve their goals.
Susan is also the founder and Chief Executive of Stour Community Interest Company, a not-for-final-profit company that has run projects to improve services and infrastructure for communities across Warwickshire. Founded in 2007, it has also run an Enterprise Centre to support rural businesses in Warwickshire for two years.
An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing as well a Growth Accelerator Marketing Coach and a Growth Voucher Advisor, Susan is delighted to be working with Business Angels Finance International, as it is often essential for the businesses she works with to find funding to leverage growth.
Arthur Reynolds is the Director of Marketing at PAL Capital, LLC where he leads the effort to invest in the distressed second trust deed and distressed HELOC market in the United States. Arthur brings to Rexon’s clients more than 35 years’ experience raising capital in Europe for clients located in the USA. After a career in industry with Mobil Corporation and W.R. Grace and Co., Arthur joined Morgan Guaranty Trust Company’s Corporate Finance Department as an officer specializing in the petroleum industry. Later he and others founded the Interfunding unit of J.P. Morgan & Co. In 1978 he began a 27-year career in London raising capital for the US clients, first as an officer of Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited.and subsequently as the founder of Ferghana Financial Services Ltd in 1982 at the behest of Sir James Goldsmith for whose operations Arthur raised more than $300 million. Arthur founded Rexon in 1995 and has since played a <i>sine qua non</i> role in raising capital for more than 50 companies. Arthur serves on the Board of Directors of ThermoEnergy Corporation, where he was interim CFO in 2009-2010 and Chairman of the Audit Committee from 2010 to the present. He is a member of the Board of the International Festival Society and serves as Chairman of the Elgar Society’s North America Branch. Arthur earned an AB Degree from Columbia College, Columbia University; an MA Degree from Cambridge University as well as an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Aleksandra is a qualified accountant and obtained her degree in Economics from the Moscow Institute of Entrepreneurship and Law in 2004.
Since qualifying, Aleksandra worked as Finance Director for a number of large private sector companies in Moscow in both Pharmaceutical and Advertising.
Her specialisms centred around tax and corporate structuring as well as financial procurement of both asset and trade finance. Aleksandra moved to the United Kingdom in 2010 to further her career and has undertaken several diploma courses to convert to UK accounting.
Aleksandra is fluent in both Russian and English.
